The city of Patras issues a great challenge to Greek visitors, whatever their destination, either they land in Athens' airport or disembark in Patras' port, by car or on foot. You can start your trip in Patras and visit the most famous historic monuments worldwide: Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games (115km), Delphi, the center of the earth and the most famous oracle of the ancient world (118 km.), Mycenae, (175 km.), the land of King Agamemnon - also known as the 'gold city' according to Homer - where lies the ancient theatre of Epidavros , (195 km.).
Will the visitor pass on hastily and miss the opportunity to visit these monuments or will he decide to stay overnight in Patras, in order to visit them and gain unique knowledge and experience from his holiday in Greece? And don't forget: Patras is also the city of Saint Andreas and the land of the Achaean League, the forerunner of the European Union.
